Presbyterian involvement with "One Great Hour"

Churches participating in the One Great Hour program used the posters, offering envelopes, and Sunday bulletin inserts provided by Church World Service as well as promotional materials from their own denominations to raise awareness of the campaign. Two days before the Sunday offering for One Great Hour on March 23, 1952, Blake made a final appeal for relief funds on the CBS radio network. Through the concerted efforts of Presbyterians and many other concerned people throughout the country, the 1952 campaign raised over six million dollars for overseas relief.
