TITLE SEARCH
Omit
beginning articles: A, An, The, Der,
El, Lí, La, etc.
Type
the whole title or as much as is needed to distinguish it from other titles.
If you are uncertain about the form (for example, singular vs. plural),
use an asterisk (*).
Examples: presbyterian organizations in Philadelphia
early pittsburgh presbyterianism
history of the presbyter* (will retrieve Presbyterian, Presbyterians, presbytery,
etc.)
When
the exact title is known:
Begin
your search in the Title box on the search screen by placing an equals sign
(=) before the first word in the title.
Example: You know the title you are seeking is Church and Society
Your
search should look like this: =church
and society
The
results will be only those items that begin with the exact phrase "church
and society."
When
the exact title is not known:
You
may enter one or several words in the Title box on the search screen:
Example
1: You are looking for a book and you know the title contains the phrase "church
and society"
Your
search should look like this: church
and society
The
results will be those items with the phrase church
and society anywhere in their titles
Example
2: You want to locate titles that have
the words "church" and "society" somewhere
in the title.
