Search for Church Records of a Living Person Our staff will search for records of baptism, birth, marriage, and church membership of living individuals only, at the request of that individual or his/her designated representative. There is no general index of names in Presbyterian records. Before we conduct a search, you will need to tell us the approximate date of the event the name(s) of the person(s) involved the location (city or town and state) the name of the congregation (for example, the church where a baptism took place) so that we can tell you whether or not we have records that might be helpful.
