Online Archives Project

PHS has made tremendous progress toward embracing and leveraging technology to collect, preserve, and share the American Presbyterian story in new and exciting ways.
The next big advance on our technological horizon is creating an online archives: a virtual repository that will provide patrons remote access to unique materials currently unavailable outside our Philadelphia reading room. The online archives will also give patrons a more complete understanding of the breadth of items in our collection.

Original items: currently accessible only at PHS

To build the online archives, PHS needs a digital asset management system to store, manage, and provide access to our wide array of digitized assets (i.e., photographs, letters, diaries, audio recordings, film strips, and videos). We are currently seeking support for this effort, which will cost $15,000. When you make a gift of $500 or more, PHS will recognize your generosity in the acknowledgement section of our online archives.

Presbyterians have played crucial roles in so many facets of history. With your financial support, individuals, churches, communities, and learning institutions will enjoy greater access to our holdings and better understand the many ways Presbyterians have influenced, and continue to influence, our nation and the world.

You can also give by phone at 215-928-3889, or by mail, with checks made payable to Presbyterian Historical Society, 425 Lombard Street, Philadelphia, PA 19147.
