Society Receives Bequest The Presbyterian Historical Society has been notified that it is a residuary beneficiary in the estate of Eleanor J. Jenkins. Although her will is still in probate, the Society expects to receive a distribution in excess of $110,000 this summer. According to the attorney handling the estate, Eleanor Jenkins carried out the final wishes of her husband Jay Donald Jenkins who died in 1988. A Lutheran, Jenkins was employed by the UPCUSA as the assistant manager, Department of Operations, Office of the General Assembly, when the Church offices were in New York City. He also served with the Presbyterian Distribution Service which had the responsibility of organizing the exhibits at General Assembly each year. Mr. Jenkins retired from the OGA in 1980.
