For preservation, security or other considerations, you may wish to send records of permanent value to the Presbyterian Historical Society. The Society accepts the records on deposit (that is, ownership of the records remains with the governing body), provides secure and environmentally sound storage for them, and provides access to them.
The Society urges synods and presbyteries to transfer the official record copies of their minutes to us for deposit in the archives. These paper copies must include the original signatures of the appropriate officers (stated clerk, recording clerk, etc.). We will accept unsigned copies, but these will be kept for library reference use as the property of the Society and are not considered official archival copies on deposit.
