Hartsville, Neshaminy Presbyterian Church

According to the Historical Directory of Presbyterian Churches and Presbyteries of Greater Philadelphia, by Kenneth A. Hammonds (Philadelphia: PHS, 1993), Neshaminy Presbyterian Church, Hartsville, Pennsylvania, began meeting before 1726. The congregation on the Neshaminy Creek shared pastoral services with other congregations in the area, including Bensalem and Deep Run. The Neshaminy congregation divided into Old School and New School congregations in 1839. The New School congregation (“of Warwick”) held on to the church building and its records. The Old School congregation (“of Warminster”) worshipped elsewhere and had a copy of the Warwick register made for its own use. The Warminster and Warwick congregations reunited in 1939 as Neshaminy-Warwick Presbyterian Church. Records of the congregations deposited with the society include:
