Mercersburg, Upper and Lower West Conococheague Presbyterian Church

According to Alfred Nevin, Churches of the Valley (1852), the Presbyterian Church of Upper West Conococheague, Pennsylvania, was organized in 1738. In 1741, the church divided into Upper and Lower congregations. The Upper West Conococheague church, Mercersburg, is still an active congregation of the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.), and has not deposited session records with us. Contact:

The Lower West Conococheague Church, Welsh Run, PA, was known for decades as the Welsh Run Presbyterian Church. The congregation dwindled to a few families by the 1850s. It was reorganized as a congregation in 1873 as the Robert Kennedy Memorial Presbyterian Church. This church was dissolved in 1962, and records deposited with us. They include:
