The 220th General Assembly (2012) empowered the Presbyterian Historical Society to add individuals to the List of Honored Names.  Additions do not need to go to the General Assembly for approval.

The list honors Presbyterians who have died in the field while in service to the church.  Nominees should be significant historical figures whose lives and work made a lasting impact on their communities.

All nominations will be reviewed by the Presbyterian Historical Society senior staff.

To submit an individual for inclusion on the list, please provide a biographical statement detailing the person's life, work for the church, and death.  If the person is not well known, please include additional supporting documents such as a printed obituary and an image.
