Biographical Note / Administrative History

Biographical Note

Anna B. Criswell, from Clarinda, Iowa, was appointed a missionary by the Women's General Board of Missions of the United Presbyterian Church of North America, in 1905. For forty-five years she served in the Egypt Mission, primarily at the Pressly Memorial Institute, a girls' school in Assiut, where for twenty-five years she was principal. She retired from active missionary service in 1950.
