Biographical Note

Cameron was born in Scotland in 1770 or 1771. His family moved to the United States in 1773, settling in Virginia. They migrated to Kentucky in 1781. Cameron was a delegate of Transylvania Presbytery to the 1809 General Assembly. He preached widely throughout Kentucky, and founded several churches.

The Cameron Papers consist of notes on theological works; a history of Transylvania Presbytery; sermons and sermon notes; and a volume of transcribed correspondence to, from and about Cameron.
