Browse and Search the Journal

The society holds a complete run of the Journal of Presbyterian History in our reading room. In addition, all issues of the Journal, with the exception of the last year, have been digitized and placed on JSTOR, a subscription-based digital library of academic journals, books, and primary sources.

You can browse the contents of the Journal from the Presbyterian Historical Society’s JSTOR page. This page includes links to tables of contents for issues of the current journal and its predecessor publications:

To search by author, title, or keyword, use JSTOR's Advanced Search tool. Enter your criteria in the Search fields, enter "Journal of Presbyterian History" in the Publication Title field, and then click Search. Note that it is helpful to enclose keyword phrases in quotes.

Complete access to the online version of the Journal of Presbyterian History requires a paid subscription to JSTOR. You may wish to contact your local academic or public library to see if they provide access to JSTOR.

You can register for a free JSTOR account and add up to three free articles to a personal “shelf.” You can read the articles on your shelf online. The articles added to your shelf will be removed after 14 days.
