The Presbyterian Historical Society is thrilled to welcome a new staff member this month! 

Ky Evans is joining the Technical Services team at PHS as an Archives Technician. 

Ky graduated from Haverford College this past Spring with a B.A. in Linguistics and East Asian Languages and Cultures. Their main interests are the Chinese language and how written records influence the evolution of spoken language. They hope to pursue a PhD in linguistics at some point in the future.

Elaine Shilstut will be joining the PHS staff as our Cataloging and Metadata Librarian.

Elaine comes to PHS from the University of Pennyslvania Libraries, where she worked as a Library Specialist in the Cataloging Department. In this position, she performed original and complex copy cataloging including authority work for various formats. The Presbyterian Historical Society is thrilled to welcome a new staff member this summer.

Archives Technician Amalia Cottrell is a recent graduate of Bryn Mawr College, where she earned a B.A. in History as well as a B.A. in Mathematics. While at Bryn Mawr, Amalia worked in the on-campus libraries and special collections. Amalia is currently pursuing a Masters degree in Library and Information Science.

Records Manager Kyna Herzinger began on January 18. Kyna came to PHS from the University of Louisville’s Archives and Special Collections where she spent five years as the Archivist for University Records and Records Manager. PHS is excited to welcome Gabe Loredo as the new Archives Technician. Their first day is August 23rd.

A visual artist who recently graduated from Temple University's Tyler School of Art & Architecture, Gabe’s interest in archives and storytelling came into focus during an internship at Girard College in Philadelphia. Gabe’s experiences curating and archiving inspires their art.
