Organized in 1852, the Presbyterian Historical Society is the oldest denominational archives in the United States and serves as the national archives for the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) and its predecessor denominations. The Presbyterian Historical Society happily welcomes Jill Chancellor to our staff! Jill joins us as Reference Archivist. As a member of the Public Services team, she will respond to remote reference inquiries, assist onsite researchers in our reading room, and contribute to outreach activities. 

A native of Oklahoma, Jill earned masters degrees in Library Science and History from Simmons University in Boston. She most recently worked for the Northeastern University Archives and Special Collections.

Her first day was February 27. Welcome, Jill!

We are happy to welcome Matty Marrow to the Presbyterian Historical Society as our new BKBB Archives Intern.

Matty recently graduated from Community College of Philadelphia with an Associates degree in English and is currently enrolled as a History major at Pennsylvania State University. Matty enjoys studying African American and Pan-African history and is interested in increasing the accessibility of history of--and the teaching to--underrepresented groups and cultures. We are happy to welcome Joyce Rivera to the Presbyterian Historical Society as our new Public Services Assistant! Her first day was Tuesday, January 17.
