We are happy to welcome Sade Trice to the Presbyterian Historical Society as our new BKBB Archives Intern.

Sade (Shar) recently graduated from the Community College of Philadelphia with an associate degree in English and an academic certificate in Creative Writing. In the fall, she will be attending Rutgers University in Camden. Previously, Shar held a work-study position in the archives at Holy Family University where she worked on digitization projects.

Outside of her internship at PHS, Shar works as a part-time assistant teacher at a childcare center and enjoys reading books...

On Thursday, June 22 at Westminster Presbyterian Church in Minneapolis MN, PHS board member and public historian Tim Hoogland gave an hour-long presentation on the life and legacy of the Rev. David Sindt. 

Sindt, who grew up in the Twin Cities and came out as an openly gay pastor in the early 1970s, is remembered today as a groundbreaking figure in the struggle for full inclusion of LGBTQIA+ Presbyterians. The Presbyterian Historical Society (PHS) is the recipient of a 2023 National Endowment for the Humanities (NEH) Humanities Collections and Reference Resources (HCRR) Implementation grant.
