The Presbyterian Historical Society happily welcomes Maura Weil to our staff! Maura joins us as an Archives Technician. As a member of the Technical Services team, Maura will help catalog books, periodicals, and archival collections in the Society’s online databases.

Maura grew up in Philadelphia and enjoys reading in her free time. She interned at the Historical Society of Pennsylvania, and earned her master’s degree in Library and Information Science with a concentration in Archives Management from Simmons University.

The Presbyterian Historical Society is pleased to welcome RNS Project Archivists Isabella Fidanza and Megan Genovese to the PHS staff. Isabella and Megan are part of the team digitizing the Religions News Service photographs.

Isabella (she/her) has a background in English, International Area Studies, and a M.A. in publishing. Driven by her deep appreciation for the arts and cultural sector, she has explored careers in museum public programming, academic libraries, and archives. You're just going to have to follow the cantor," begins Dr. Melva Costen at the beginning of a seminar on African American worship, leading the group in the Zulu church song Thuma Mina. The group sings "Send me Jesus, send me Lord." Dr. Heath W. Carter is the new senior co-editor of The Journal of Presbyterian History. Carter, associate professor of American Christianity at Princeton Theological Seminary, will work alongside Presbyterian Historical Society (PHS) Executive Director Nancy J.
